RSLondonSouthEast 2020

Thursday 6th February 2020, 9.30am – 5pm, The Royal Society, London

RSLondonSouthEast 2020 is the 2nd annual workshop of the research software community for London and South East of England. The workshop will again take place at The Royal Society in Central London and will bring together Research Software Engineers (RSEs), researchers, academics and individuals in a variety of related roles who work with or are interested in research software. The workshop aims to provide a regional focus on research software activities and offer an opportunity to present work to a regional audience, but it also aims to help participants develop links with the wider national and international RSE community. As such, the workshop is open to participants from elsewhere in the UK and beyond. Whether you’re already an experienced RSE or researcher developing software or whether you’re new to the area and are keen to develop your skills and meet others working in the field, the workshop will provide a great opportunity to engage with the community, network and develop your research software skills.

The one-day workshop will take place on Thursday 6th February 2020, 9.30am-6pm, in the Dining Room at The Royal Society. There will be a range of presentations from people across the community as well as opportunities for networking and discussion. See the call for submission of abstracts for presentations and posters.

In collaboration with RSLondonSouthEast 2020, Open Research London are organising a linked event on the previous evening. The event, The importance and challenges of sharing research software, will take place at the Institute of Physics from 6pm on Wednesday 5th February. Please register separately for this event through Eventbrite.
